Sheila “Esi” Kasasa a third generation woman-preneur and a leader driven by her passion to connect the international and domestic communities into a cohesive network through inclusive education. Her passion is working in minority youth entrepreneurship development in opportunity communities. Sheila is the co-founder, CEO of FutureFIRST, a company that launched DC Youth Corps, program that has raised half a million in funding to end the economic divide of the youth of color in Washington, DC.
Her past experience within the global network uniquely includes working on African Refugee rights in Israel, program development for a PEPFAR funded project in South Africa, and talent matching through her start-up AAV. Sheila is an experienced community organizer and leader who has completed various projects in Africa, South America as well as the Middle East. Sheila believes the development of an interconnected global community comprised of driven, self-motivated individuals is what creates the next generation of African diaspora global leaders. She also loves to write poetry, eat cake pops and do trail runs.
