LaTricea Adams is a proud native of Memphis, Tennessee. and is the Founder CEO & President of Black Millennials for Flint (BM4F). Founded by members of Thursday Network Greater Washington Urban League Young Professionals on February 10, 2016, BM4F is a grassroots, environmental justice and civil rights organization with the purpose of bringing like-minded organizations together to collectively take action and advocate against the crisis of lead exposure specifically in African American & Latino communities throughout the nation.
LaTricea is the immediate past President for the Memphis Urban League Young Professionals and Thursday Network—Greater Washington Urban League where under her leadership, the chapter was recognized as the 2017 Maudine Cooper Eastern Region Chapter of Excellence as well as the 2017 Affiliate Service Award with leading a chapter that committed nearly 18,000 service hours. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Memphis Urban League. She has been involved with the Urban League movement since 2011, hailing from the Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee. LaTricea has served as the former Membership Chair and Vice-President of Thursday Network.
LaTricea currently holds the position of Manager, Organizational Quality for Shelby County Schools Office of Charter Schools in Memphis, TN. She is a former teacher of Spanish with teaching experience in grades 6-12. She received a B.A. in Foreign Languages from The University of Memphis in 2007, Master of Arts in Teaching from Belmont University in 2009 and an Educational Specialist degree in Administration & Supervision from Tennessee State University in 2012. She is in the terminal stage of completing her Ed.D. also in Administration & Supervision at Tennessee State University. LaTricea is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. LaTricea is a highly accomplished civil right and social justice leader as evident by a host of accolades. She was a member of the New Leaders for New Schools Emerging Leaders Cohort in Washington, DC, Kappa Delta Pi Teacher of Honor , Toyota International Teacher Program to Costa Rica, Southern Council on Language Teaching Best of TN, Vanderbilt Summer Professional Institute to the Dominican Republic, Tennessee Foreign Language Teacher Association Dale Sevier Fund for the Future Award, Phi Delta Kappa Emerging Leader and many other laudable recognitions in the realm of education. LaTricea was recognized as the 2015 Greater Washington Urban League Volunteer of the Year and National Urban League Young Professionals YP Distinguished Member in 2016 and President’s Distinguished President in 2017. LaTricea was also recognized as the Women’s Information Network (WIN) Young Women of Achievement Award recipient for Service Beyond Measure. She was noted as the Young Education Professionals of DC’s Volunteer of the Year for 2017. LaTricea was featured in the Women’s History Month 2016 Spotlight for Brightest Young Things (BYT). Most recently she served as a featured speaker at the highly acclaimed BroccoliCon 2018 at the Google Headquarters in Washington, DC alongside actress Amanda Seales and actor Laz Alonso. She was also the recipient of the 2018 "Unbossed and Unapologetic Visionary" Award at the Inaugural Black Millennial Political Convention.
