Dr. Jennifer Alexander is the owner of Dr. Jen Knows Skin, a skincare company dedicated to
educating consumers about the importance of skin health and creating skincare products that “nourish the skin, outside and in”. Dr. Jen has a B.S. in Chemistry from NC A&T State University and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a concentration in Cosmetic Science, from the University of Cincinnati.  She is the 2nd African American, in the US, to earn a Ph.D. invCosmetic Science.

Armed with a rare blend of academic theory, clinical research, and practical application, Dr.
Jen provides unique insight into the world of Skin Science. She has in-depth clinical research
experience with sensitive skin and dermatitis and has published several peer-reviewed journals articles and contributed to magazines such as Good Housekeeping and Cosmetics & Toiletries. Dr. Jen has worked in Research and Development for brands such as COVERGIRL, Max Factor, and Gillette.

Dr. Jen is a wife, mother of 2 girls and a member of a host of organizations including
Associated Skincare Professionals, The Links, Incorporated and Delta Sigma Theta,
Incorporated.
