People often ask "Why are you running for elected office?" and I generally reply "Why Not?!"

I care about our Country;

I care about our State;

I care about our County;

And I care about the lives of every citizen looking to our elected representatives for a "Square Deal" based on honesty, integrity and transparency with courage to act - in our democracy where people come first.

I am running because:

  • I believe that the African immigrant community in Prince George's County needs a representation in the General Assembly.They, too, should be at the table where decision are made about their future and their children future. They( we) need a voice.
  • I think senior citizens should have an opportunity to age in place at a time taxes are raised but their incomes remain the same. I want to ensure they are not taxed out of their homes in the communities they built;
  • I am running because I believe women should enjoy the same honest day pay - for an honest day's work - on par with wages paid to men;
  • I believe in our families, our small businesses and our students must enjoy LIVEABLE Communities that offers smart growth and development in an atmosphere where our children graduate from school - attend affordable colleges in our state and return home to employment.

I am running for office because I feel people should come first in a great state where YES WE CAN becomes YES WE WILL TOGETHER!!

Remember: early election is June 14-21, 2018.
